There was a post or a thread within a post of someone who shaved down their front spoiler lip on a GT2 nose.

My lip scrapes all the time.

This post was an orange 996 with a GT2 front nose (not sure if it was a GT2 or a front GT2 bumber). This person cut back the chin spoiler which kept the front of the spoiler from scraping the ground.

I just ordered a spare lip for my nose and I want to cut it down like this guy did to avoid scraping and still have the lip attached.

I've searched and searched and can't find the pictures.

Does anyone remember this?

Anyone know the car I'm talking about?

I done that to my cup chin spolier before installing an airlift; made it 2.5 cm shorter in the middle and was ending to zero near the sides.
You need masking tape to mark the spot and a hi speed hand cutter. As a finishing touch you can use a grinding tool to smooth out the rough edges.
End result was really good. And btw the cup lip spoiler is thicker and tougher than oem. So it will be an easier job for you.

It's an easy DIY.
