Default Has anybody tried a 265/645/18 Hoosier on front of 6GT3?

Curious if anybody has ever tried this size. I went over the charts and it seemed to compare very well to the 255/35/18 that is currently on the car. However, after I ordered them I ran across a PCA enthusiast who seemed very skeptical.

I know PO ran a 250/650/18 on the car. So here is what I see:

Tread width:
255 A6 - 10.3
265 Slick - 10.125

Diameter:
255 A6 - 24.8
265 Slick - 25.485 (250 slick is 25.604)

Circumference:
255 A6 - 77.8
265 Slick - 80.062 (250 slick is 80.4)

So, seems the width is actually smaller than 255 while diameter and circumference is smaller than 250 slick which PO ran on the car, so theoretically shouldn't it work? I hope so, otherwise I wasted $800!

I've run them up front with 305 rears. They fit fine in my race car, but I've got the wider 02-05' fenders, and I banged on the radiator brackets pushing them in (forward) as much as possible....

Let me add that with the Yokohama 09' Patron slicks on sale I wouldn't even worry about the Hoosiers. The Yokes, even at 240/280's, rock....

Thank you. I guess at this point I'll just have to mount them and see what happens.

Mainly, I just would like to take advantage of the Hoosier contingency, which is why I ordered them. Yoko doesn't extend to TT.

Mount them, they should work. Mooty runs them IRRC. Mount them on the BBS rims, they're wider.
