Thanks Dell. Joe, if you want switched power, order the Becker plug and a phone cord, and I'd be more than happy to wire them together for you.

Oh, one more PSA... if you are using a phone cable other than the ones that came with the V1, don't buy the cheapest ones on the shelf. The wire gauge might be too thin and won't be able to carry sufficient current to power the V1. The V1 may not even turn or, or it will act very funny. Ask me how I know...

I have a phone cord sitting right here, but don't recall from where it came. I'll go see if I ca find one in the V1 box (if I can find that). I'll order up the Becker plug. Thanks, if I need help once I get it, you'll hear from me, which is likely.

FYI I edited my previous posting to include a cross-post thread in the 996 forum, which discusses the Becker connector.

Quick questions-

Is that Becker plug still available? Nothing on the website I could find, but I did email them.

What DOES the 'mute input' do?

I'm adding an Dension and Parrot....not having the 'right' connector has been bugging me, so happy to find your old thread!

(I wired a V1 remote display into the batwing, and picked up power here. Ran a cable up to the top of the headliner for the V1, but prefer a dark detector.)

Thx

A

When I emailed Becker they tried to sell be something for $25 (not $5 as noted in the related thread) . When I asked about the specific part/price, they said they had it - we'll see . . . .
