Trying to collect data on tire weights since Nitto doesn't publish the numbers. Of course I forgot to weigh the tires PRIOR to having them installed. I have weighed the TR Motorsport wheels with the Nittos installed and they came to:

Front-->46.4#
Rear-->53.8#

Subtracting the published weights of the TR wheels I bought (again, I forgot to weigh in advance ) are 20.5# front and 23.0 rear#.

So, that leaves me with approximate weights of the NT01's as follows:

235/40/18 --> ~26#
315/30/18 --> ~31#

Does this sound accurate? Sounds a tad high, no?

 

if they are any close to the 888's that sounds very normal and identical. Toyo's are very heavy too : (

 

The same size in Toyo are published at 25 and 31 so that sounds about right. Maybe that's why they last so damn long! I'll bet shaving to the depth of a Hoosier R6, MPCS, etc, would reduce the weight into their ballpark. Thanks J.

235 is 24#. 315 is 30# rounded to the nearest whole number.

 

That's the same as the RA-1s too.

I shave em but never weighed the tire to see how much it saves.
