Black box underneath driver seat- what's it for?
Just like to know what's it's for before I remove. 911slow says its for electric seat which I think he's rt. here is some ugly pics of removal of rear side impact bar since don't need it since a full rollcage will be welded in. That sucker is heavy- the middle bar is 15 lbs and havent removed side brackets but they look like 5 lbs each side(total wt 25 lbs). Still plenty of stuff underway. My mechanic/friend is dealing with ac/heater core and associated plumbing. Regards. Mike

Considering what you just did to your car Mike.....I don't think you'll let a little black box get in your way.
My hat is off to you.
edit: when I finally get down to CA, I'm going to introduce you to a plasma cutter. It's a little more elegant than the axe you used. lol!

Grab some weld through primer or other zinc-rich paint and be sure to touch up any cut areas to help prevent rust in the future. I wish I lived by you right now. I'd be right over to give you a hand. Hacking up cars is fun.

My motor will be dropped again to work on said coolant fittings. Though never had one blow it's safe insurance since next season I'll be joining Mooty in the race ranks : ). Be real fun : ). Mike

Sweet! When you're done all the stripping/lightweight stuff, then go see Sharky.
