FS: 2004 996 GT3 - Lapis Blue - $53,000 - extras available too.....
Bought it 7 months ago with plans to daily drive it (not in winter obviously, I have a winter car) and track it a few times per year (DE stuff - not club racing).
Anyway, I really miss having the back seats for my kids (this is my fourth 911 and the previous three had back seats - 2002 C2 Cab, 2002 996TT, 1997 993 C4S) I also have another track car so don't really need two.
I am the second owner of the car. The prior owner put 35,690 miles on it and never tracked it - street driven only.
The car now has 38,5XX miles on it. It has been to two DE events. NO other track time.
It has 878 Type I's and 0 (zero) Type II's (scanned tonight).
Options from the sticker on the hood:
C02 (Cats)
X47 (Carbon fiber hand brake)
X58 (Carbon fiber gear lever)
X70 (Metal door sill with insignia
X71 (Aluminum instrument dials)
601 (Litronic headlights)
288 (headlight washers)
450 (light metal wheels)
571 (fog tail lamp)
573 (A/C)
I assume all the cars came with cats and wheels, but, it's on the sticker
I added the following mods:
Cloth Recaro Euro GT3 seats
DAS bolt-in roll bar
GT3 Alcantara Steering wheel
Rennline pedal set
Rennline trailer tie down points (front and rear)
TraqMate (you can it in the pics, but, it's not for sale at all)
TRG adjustable rear toe links
wing shims (4 and 8 degree)
cup front splitter (not on in pic for street driving)
steel rotors (ATE Cayenne S fronts and OEM 997TT rears)
P50 green pads for the front and P40 green pads for the rear
extra set of stock rims with Hoosier R6 tires in proper sizes (245/315)
aligned and corner balanced by Kelly-Moss Motorsports (Madison, WI)
I also hardwired it for a V1 and put in a cheaper Sony radio so I could have iPOD and Sirius (sound is like stock, not that you need the radio in a car with such a nice wail at WOT)
Here are some pics:
Asking price does NOT include the GT3 seats, roll bar or the extra rims/Hoosiers.
I would prefer to sell those things with the car but would part it if needed.
Asking price does include everything else listed (the alcantara wheel, stereo with ipod/siriusm V1 hardwire, Rennline pedals and tie town mounting points, etc....). I can put the stock stero back in if someone wants it in there because it does look nicer than the Sony IMO.
Prices for the extras:
Recaro Euro GT3 Seats (cloth) - $2000
Das Roll Bar - $750
Extra stock rims with Hoosier R6 tires - $2000
So, the whole package would be $57,750. It's quite a car, just not suiting my needs right now.
The color needs to be seen in person - I LOVE it (and it's rare for a 996 GT3).
Please contact me with any questions or for more details!

Do you still have the Ceramic rotors?
You're not selling it becuase you couldn't get it on the trailer are you?

You have only taken it to the track 2x and have a Traqmate? Wow, that is hardcore! I didn't run data acquisition until I had several years under my belt.
I agree about the back seats. I miss my GT3 terribly but the Turbo does everything I need (track, kids in the back, etc).

Pulled the Traqmate from another one of my cars.
I have seen this car in person on multiple occasions, and it is stunning. Great car, owned by a great Rennlister!

I was thinking that and almost asked if they were the same seats. By the way, that Lapis is stunning. Should have no trouble selling to somebody from this group

I had a 996TT before and it's better for a daily driver (esp because i have 3 kids) - obviously it's no so great on the track.

I actually enjoy the Turbo on track immensely. Sure, it's heavy as a pig and pushes like a dump truck but it's still very capable and very fast around the circuit. At least enough to allow me to really "enjoy" DE's again. With the GT3 I felt like I was on a qualifying lap everytime out. With the Turbo, I feel like I am out to have fun. Such a relief.
Now......if I could have them both I would. Or.....if the GT3 had back seats (delivered from the factory) then it would win hands down.

OP, I've passed this along to a friend who is looking. Hopefully he likes it and contacts you. I'd be all over it but the color isn't for me.

Andy...BLUE!!!!!!! Your brother told me it was the only color you had such strong feelings about....
Jason, sorry to see you leave the fold so soon. Hope you enjoyed it while you had it. It looks beautiful. GLWS
What will you be driving at the track next?

I still have my E36 BMW track car for now - slow, but, fun, cheap and reliable.
I'm likely picking up a 997 C2S or something like it. Not sure yet. My budget is around where the GT3 will sell and there are a ton of options since I'm looking at used cars. The economy has worked wonders for the used car buyer!
