I found it interesting that the TRG CF front splitters M97 vintage use an adjustable front splitter. the part of the lip that makes contact with the corner strips and pavement are replaceable as well as adjustable. Further the replaceable part is CF wrapped plywood/redboard (cost savings) and the under tray is sometimes made of Kevlar, which is less likely to splinter and is more $$ than CF.
Hopefully I maybe able to get GMG to alter the 996 version for me. I would like the front to extend to approx 3-4", not the 2" that is extends as standard. This it for reference.

That splitter looks very good, but unfortunately its for a 997. There isnt much out there for a 996.

The reason i showed the 997 splitter is that i wanted to share some of the advancements that i have seen made in splitters developed in the past 5 years. Adjustable for short course or long high speed courses, removable for easy repair of major wear points (the lip). The designer was using his/her head when developing this product and i like to see that type of thought put into good functional designs for performance enhancements.

If you look at a GT3 Cup S' front under tray & splitter, it also has the adjustability as seen in those photo's on a factory lip/splitter.
I think I will contact GMG & see if they can make some changes for me. As I have no rules to comply with, I'd like the front splitter to extend a little further forward.

Absolutely agree with you, definitely wasnt having a go at you for posting a 997 lip in the 996 thread.
