^^^ Thanks, yeah, my turn 11 isn't pretty. And I do the same thing a lot - go deep, turn too much, oversteer, correct, continue.

I'm just starting to trailbrake this car, which is way less forgiving than am used to. I need to get on the gas really fast after lifting to keep it pointed forward.

I saw you're selling your Sharky extinguisher. Is it still for sale? I'm tempted to get one since my little exhaust tip falling off issue apparently could have caused a fire.

Anyone know where (besides dealer) to get an exhaust tip clamp?

It's always hard to give advice based on youtubes and low-rez data, but since you asked: Even with your street tires, the peaks and troughs in your Velocity vs. Distance plot look a little too rounded. Your peaks (brake points) should be pretty sharp, and except for T1 - T3 your troughs should also be pointy. Is the car too unstable to handle quick brake/throttle transitions?

See graph attached below from a stock Cayman S doing the same laptime (but over-the-top on T5 and on the old pavement). The transitions in your vel v dist graph should look more like this.

Also, here is a youtube of my best TH lap in a stock '03 996 C2 (no GT3, but on MPSC tires)... with data so you can compare to yours.

I will be at TH 7/31-8/1 with PCA-GGR. We will be running clockwise. There is still room if any of you want to sign up!

Best,
John

Presuming the unit is in good shape and sh//nc doesn't want it, I'll take it. Lemme know.

I don't think the car is too unstable for rapid brake/throttle, that's just me learning the rear bias and trailbraking for this car I tend not to go full blast on the straights either.

My graph is speed vs time, not speed vs distance. And my graph starts at the back straight. I'll generate a graph of speed vs distance starting at the front straight to compare more easily.

Thanks.

Thanks mooty for letting me drive for one session. Awesome ride- SO
MUCH easier negotiating turns with aplomb with the weightloss. It was much MORE then I expected and still more weight to take off- hint hint : ). Mike
