Any pep boys or automotion shop will have one. Mine is buried behind the fender now, but there are two or three models that top into the brake and running lights to do exactly this.

Pull off the rear bumper and rear taillights. There's a 6 prong connector for either taillight. I used a 5 wire to 4 wire trailer harness converter for my 4 wire trailer. A test light will tell you which wires to tap and the 5-to-4 has an extended length wire to feed to the passenger taillight turn signal.

There's a cavity within the rear taillight housing that I put some sticky back velcro to hold the matchbox sized 5-to-4 converter within and with everything spliced, and taped up the 4 prong hitch harness was fed down thru the bumper and out for trailer duties.

Reviving on the off chance that someone has a hitch to sell. I'm looking for one to fit on my 996TT.

C'mon - if you haven't used it in a few years, sell it to me

I'm pretty sure Will is still making them (I got parts from him this time last year). His email is will@willwoodsystem.com.

Thanks Larry, I did send him a message earlier today. My understanding is that he is having some health issues not in full production mode any longer. Hopefully I am wrong about that.

Either way, love to give the orphan hitch someone has sitting in the garage a new home!

I bought a hitch for my Boxster S from him 3 years ago and he wasn't in good shape then. I LOVE my hitch, btw.

I spoke with him today -- 209-772-3399 -- we had a long, good and philosophical talk. He is in business but has lots of back, hip, hand, etc problems. Lots of problems.

He is a VERY FINE guy with a great sense of responsibility. A class guy.

I don't use mine and would be willing to sell it, but it's still installed on my GT3 with electrical wiring and all... don't have the time to uninstall for sale however...

It was difficult to get this hitch system 6 years ago when he was having health problems.

Pete if you are in the Northeast I'd be happy to remove it and put the car back together
