Just received the itinerary: PCA rules. 7am tech? No passengers? Mandatory point bys in all groups? Less-than-normal track time w/ TM. The rules suck.

you are right... I just found that out as well.. No passing without a pointby in ADVANCED!!!!!! WTF?????? Ridiculous. And the no passengers thing is a PITA, since I had invited some friends to come and take a ride....

Anybody know if the "no passenger" rule is a new TMR thing, or a Laguna Seca rule?

It's most definitely not a TMR thing, as they always allow passengers and unlimited passing in the Advanced/Race group. The problem here is that the PCA Sacramento rules are in force and Doug Gale has to abide by them... Trust me, he's received NUMEROUS phone calls on these issues....

The rules were pretty lame, apparently a pca thing

It was nice to see so many GT3s there

I will definitely NOT be going to any more PCA events... It REALLY sucked having point by passing only in all groups... Total waste of a day, not to mention I resent having worn my brakes and tires and paid $800 plus for me and my Girlfriend to drive for no real benefit to us at all...

Let's just say combined with pca rules plus my fault really of not corking my exhaust made for a dismal day. What's the point of tracking when u can't uncork- my 6 was pissed as well as I. Other then that nice to have met Pete(savyboy) for the 1st time as well as serge and usual suspects mikymu(mike) and speedoflight(Joe). Mike

I definitely like the way TMR structures their track days better... The event was overpriced for what you got out of it, no doubt.
