Default Bypass pipes- LOUD

Found some bypass pipes on fleebay for 150 new, so figured couldn't go wrong. They are nice enough, the tips are small compared to the stock setup, but again $150 bucks.

I put them on tonight my .02c - They sound fantastic above 6k, ok at normal speeds, and down right cheezy at idle. My butt dyno says they took some bottom end off, but added quite a bit from mid up.

I would have been bummed if I shelled out 500-600 for them, but for the little I spent they'll go on for track days.

Cheezy at idle? Your first problem was putting $150 on the cheap pipes on your GT3.

I was following a 6GT3 with bypass pipes at Watkins Glen last weekend...PAINFULLY loud...even through my helmet.

^same here. Don't like it one bit. Driving in the streets is worse. To each their own. Mike

I couldn't imagine any sound difference beteen these cheapo' pipes and a good set. Finish certainly, but there really doesn't look to be much technology in them. It was nice taking that 10ton of muffler(s) off though.

I think it will be a fabspeed setup this week.

Actually there is. Pipe diameter, mandrel bend, distance all contribute. As has been said, to each his own.
