Drive at a moderate speed into your house. It'll come out automatically.

LOL- how's your remodel going. Here's my room(abit smaller maybe alot : ( then yours). Look at the wires that will be networked to entire house- ughh(my network engineer put every wire for future upgrades-insane).

From what I remember when disassembling the Boxster you had to remove a bolt from BEHIND it which was pretty much after the dash was removed. I'm sure there is an easier way like through the dash speaker opening.

The door that is integrated into it looks like it's part of the dash but it's attached to the frame that connects to the airbag housing.

I'll run up to my parts locker and see if I still have the airbag and locate the bolt locations.

Give me just a bit to snap a pic and post up.

So here's the best I can do. You can see where the airbag mounts to the frame and you can see from the two airbag pics that there are 2 vertical bolts that attach the airbag to the frame. Hope that helps some.

I'm thinking that you should e able to get to it from "feel" through the speaker opening. There has got to be a TSB or removal diagram on this. I don't have that though. Obviously it was a piece of cake once the dash was out. With that said, the LAST THING you want to do is take the dash out. What a PITA!!!!!

Once the airbag deploys it must be replaced somehow. Can't see the dash needing to come out to do this......hopefully!

Renos were on hold for several weeks while I did a bunch of volunteer stuff for the local hospital. Getting back to it now. Framing almost done. Wiring starts next week. Not quite as insane as yours though. About eight 120V circuits and some speaker wires.

^ Well I removed the speaker grill to look inside. Nice the verticle bolt(2 of them) is underneath meaning I need to remove glovebox. Looking inside glovebox I see 2 holes which are the way to unbolt the bolts to the airbag frame. Now neone have an idea how to remove glovebox : )? Mike
