Montreal F1 race meet for a beer thread :)
update 8 June 2010
**IT'S THAT TIME!!!!! JUST A FEW SHORT DAYS AWAY!!!!****
Figured I start a thread where we can work out details on time/place/etc as well as get a full roll call.
Would be nice to get a RL GT3 forum group together for drinks.
Post up:
*what dates you will be in town
*where you are staying
*where your seats are at the track

Three Wheelin'
Friday thru Monday.
Staying at the L'Appartement Hotel (cheapest I could find!)
Contemplating general admission or scalp at the track. May think better of it.

Hey Dell, I'll be there.
Thur-Mon

Silver section seats at the 2nd hairpin after the start finish.

Very cool KJ.....this should turn out to be a great meetup for everybody!
By the way, are you doing the FSR PCA event next month at VIR?

Dell,
Work is in control of my free time right now. I hope to be back on the track in July/August or so. I'm even resigned to missing the VIR Club Race this year, unfortunately.

My wife and I will be there Friday-Monday staying @ Hilton Garden Inn w/ race seats in Grandstand 1. I haven't had the chance to meet any of the group in person (we bought Holger B's car last Summer), so if something comes together we'll try to make it.
Our goal has been to attend an F1 race each year. So far we've hit Indy, Monaco, and Monza. Really looking forward to Montreal this year...Especially based on the quality of racing during the last two weekends! And for what it's worth, we're McLaren fans, <ducks to avoid thrown objects>.

From a Local Montrealer.
Ensure you make your dinner reservations asap as the finer restaurants in Montreal sell out very quickly, as this F1 weekend is historically the busiest of the year. Micheal Shumacher and the entire Ferrari Team has eaten at Milos (Greek seafood Resto) in the past.
The following list of restaurants are all great bets for rubbing shoulders with drivers and teams.
Bice on Sherbrooke St
Globe on St. Laurent Blvd
Cafe Ferara on Peel St.
Newtown on Cresent, Used to owned by Jacques Villeneuve
Bueno Notte, on St Laurent.
Milos on Parc Ave
Le Local, Old Montreal
Just to name a few...
They usually close off Peel St. , Cresent St. and sometimes St Laurent Bl. making it pedestrian only, with lots of cars on display, plus tons of amazing women.
The bar scene is equally amazing, with places to satisfy all your tastes.
If you need more information, i would be pleased to help my fellow rennlisters.
A GT3 is on my bucket-list, although I'm having a great time with my 996 so far.
Wishing you all a great weekend.
