ODYSSEY PC680 - MJ or not?
Do I want the MJ or non MJ version for use in a GT3? I have the rennline mount and I think MJ is short for metal jacket? I'm guessing I want a metal jacket despite presumably weighing a little more?

No direct experience with the 680, but I have a 925 non-MJ. I don't think the MJ version is needed as it's for a high heat environment as far as I understand. Also, in my case, the MJ version of the 925 would not fit in the rennline bracket. It was hard enought to get a good fit with the standard version. But the 680 is smaller so you shouldn't have any problems with the fit in the GT3 battery compartment.
