San Francisco alignment shops

Brandon Kraus in Castro Valley or Tony Collichio (TC Design) in Milpitas.
(I've actually never had someone else do an alignment on one of my 911's over 30 years, save for Brandon doing the 993 a year ago since I didn't want to deal with kinematic toe.)

Thanks, but I want a shop in the city not an hour away
There are at least a dozen GT3s and hundreds of 911s in this town, someone has to be trustworthy

171mph is in city, but his car is either aligned at TCD or JWE (campbell).
you got to find the right shop for YOU.
i drive 40 miles to have all my tires mounted at roger kraus. wont let anyone else touch my wheels. not custom alignment either. oh, there, custom alignment is also a good alignment shop. not as good as the first two mentioned.

I go to a Ferrari guy in the city for tires, he rocks. Try Waterfront Automobili and save yourself a big drive
Alignment is a common need, there's got to be a qualified place in the city (and not Big O)

(Mooty will get that.)
Seriously, I've been involved with 911's since 1980 and there has NEVER been a performance oriented Porsche facility during that time in SF. Ever. We can go to the wayback machine to point out Lukes & Shorman in Berkeley for 356's, too.

Not close, about an hour away from you but worth it.
Or use Rector Porsche in Burlingame. I had my 03 Turbo aligned there and was very satisifed with the job. I watched the tech and he was quite thorough.
I've spotted more exotic Porsches there being worked on, so they can do other models besides Turbos and such.
I have talked with several of the techs and am impressed with their knowledge and experience. Several of them own and run their own Porsches, street cars or track cars, or both.
Sincerely,
Macster.

Are they now doing it in-house? Rob got the guy that he used to sublet alignments to buy the 993 kinematic toe tool.......sent him enough business that it paid for him to be the only non-dealer around to be able to properly align 993's!

We made the 3 day drive to Infineon last year only to find out that the alignment on my 6GT3 was way out of whack because of a faulty alignment head at the shop that did it here. I went to Big-O in Sonoma and they were great people and very helpful but their alignment wasn't quite right. So I had it done again by Tim Barber at www.tfbperformance.com right at Infineon and it transformed the car. Super knowledgeable guy with great equipment and very familiar with Porsche.

Sonnen is the place to go for alignments if you live in SF. They've got a high-end Beissbarth machine that also does corner balancing. Highly recommended from personal experience (and I had a lot of alignments done there).
