It was great to be back on track! 4-large and Mooty were there as well as Serge and his GT3 (i got to take a trip in the passenger seat of my old baby). Had been a full 6 months away from a track i was getting restless.

The SPBOX is a great car especially in the corners. The handing was excellent and corner entry speed seems higher (vs gt3) but i'd have to check my traqmate data to be sure. Can't wait for first race. Jerry and JWE have done a great job setting up the car.

First day at Laguna (and first day in the GT3) was a blast. Big thanks for Brad (Backmarker) and Dave (171mph) for riding along and giving me a few pointers. It was nice meeting you too Jerry.

Dave especially helped me with my line, and I felt things were coming together by the end of the day. I was slow, but consistent with my last 3 laps on street tires: 1.48.73, 1.48.71, 1.48.76.

Also, thanks to the corkscrew corner worker for retrieving my cup splitter! Oops.

Haha. No problem. I lost my numbers on track during my first session...

I rode shotgun in the midnight blue GT3. It was nice to see what these cars are capable of when driven well.

Dave u got some vids of your day at LS? BSR looks awesome. Your helmet was blocking your grin from ear to ear coming out from your 6 month hibernation : ). Serge did u had magnetics on the side for the numbers? Had those they flew off too : (. I have the vinyl stick ons but they arent reusable- explains why I dont drive much in the street. Mike

No magnets...just squeegeed them on. The edges were a little damaged so they didn't have a perfect seal.

That's mooty in my car but if u have problem with splitter popping off- I used racer tape(ghetto style) to tie splitter to bumper. It has definitely helped prevent spoiler popping off due to high speed and small spins and lite grass mowing : ). Mike
