I don't know of any in MA that cover any on-track event...

I use Lockton for the GT3, nothing for cheaper cars in the past...

+1 for GEICO for "non-timed" events. DEs are not a problem.

Really, Geico? I figured they would be with the other insurance cos and say they won't cover anything on a racetrack surface...which is how my USAA policy is written...I've checked multiple times

Please post actual exclusions from your current policy.
NOTE: These can and will differ by state.
My policy is crystal clear that no on track driving period is covered, timed, or not, practice or not, race or not, nothing.
Opentrack.com is worth checking out if you do more than 10 days a year and have multiple cars to insure.

Default Insurance for HPDE

Insurance is state regulated and varies state to state. It even varies within companies. I have been an insurance agent for 40 years and my policy is with Travelers. The NY Travelers policy with the suffix -101- had NO exclusion for racing or HPDE in either the liability or physical damage (comp & collision) sections of the policy exclusions. I recently switched to a new Travelers auto product as it was much cheaper, suffix -203- but in now includes the following exclusion on both liability and physical damage:

Loss to “your covered auto” or any “non-owned
auto” which occurs while participating or competing
in, or practicing or preparing for any prearranged
or organized:
a. Racing contest, meet or rally, whether
against another vehicle or against time;
b. Demolition contest;
c. Stunting activity; or
d. High performance driving or racing instruction
course or school.

As a result I purchased HPDE insurance from https://ontrackinsurance.com/

$50,000 coverage with 10% deductible ended up costing me $110 a day, (They charge by event, not by the day)

Bottom line is READ you policy. Do NOT rely on verbal representations given by a company CSR or even your agent.

On a related note in recent years most of the major carriers have outsourced glass coverage to other carriers like Safelite, who will then fight like hell to try and prevent you from replacing with OEM glass.

Nationwide, State Farm do this for sure, I hear Allstate too.

Anyone have a carrier that actually covers glass with OEM included? I know some states have a ruling on glass with $0 deductible, but curious about OEM glass.

All Porsche glass is OEM I believe. Even if you call Su.k lite they get it from the dealer. My carrier covers it. Currently Encompass- previously Travelers covered as well, And Prudential as well in the past. I use alot of windshields it seems. Even with tear offs.

This thread got my attention so I went online to review my Geico policy and couldn't find any exclusions.
Anyone else in WA have experience with Geico?

My experience with Geico has been great. USAA dropped me like a hot rock after stacking up my 964.

every state has different insurance commisions and regs so maybe different in NJ?

I am in CA, and they were pushing me to use cheap safelite glass, which is typically Chinese.

Some states by law require OEM glass with no deductible, in those states the commission is actually looking out for their tax paying citizens.

Has anyone found a common carrier recently that includes educational track events. Apparently Farmers did until just recently but no longer does.

If you are only doing a few events a year, just buy track insurance for those events. IMO, there's no reason to temp losing your normal insurance carrier if you have a track incident. It's cheap insurance. *pardon the pun*

Exclamation

Beware as I have noticed that a lot of auto policies now exclude coverage from am accident while being operated on a surface designed for racing. So that would exclude coverage even if you were on a 50mph parade lap.
