I think it would be unwise for the seller to refuse a 44k offer if he EVER intends to actually sell the car. For comparison, I just picked up a clean '04 w/ 28k miles for less than that. It's not perfect - but very presentable condition.

When I was selling my old e30 track car, I had to take about 1/3 less JUST because of the salvaged title. BTW, it was totaled after someone broke the locks and stole the radio. A quick trip to pick-n-pull for lock cylinders and a new head unit, and the car was repaired. I didn't care about the minor scratches on the door & dash.

Anyway, he reports he has an offer of $ 44K on it which I advised him to take - not rudely of course - but I think that is excellent money for that car...but he is convinced he can get $ 45 K which is his ask as he is getting lots of interest since on Craiglist - car also on E bay.. see how it plays out....
A year ago, when I talked to him, he was convinced he could get 55K. Also someone wanted the car if I was not interested. I think he gets a lot of interest until the salvage title situation is revealed.

He might be comparing his price to Sonen's prices and think that he has adequately depreciated his car. Or he may be hoping for a woefully uninformed buyer. It happens.

Sometimes if you hang around these things long enough you can prevail.

But usually you can beat the parking tickets by writing a letter. In downtown sac, after beating 8 parking tickets, I got to the point where I didn't even care if my meter ran out...

guys, forget about that POS.
why would anyone buy a salvaged title car unless you intend to race the thing and kiss walls with it?
the seller is not realistic then let him keep the car.

there are lots of 55k GT3 out there. cherry stuff.

if something is below mkt, there is ALWAYS a reason.
if you bought a car below mkt, you should really be crying and not be too happy with it.
