i will be installing gt3 (euro) seats into a 2004 996 gt3 . i read in these forums that the gt3 seats result in a lower seating position than the stock sport seats . is this true? if i prefer to sit a little higher are there brackets or other methods i can use to do this

The side mounts have mounting holes for fixed or attaching to sliders.

As far as which mounts to get, some of the guys that have bought an adjustable side mount should chime in shortly with which works best.

 

The Brey Krause mounts work with stock sliders....but in this case they lower the seat even more. I'm not sure about other market offerings since oem works for me. Any competent metal fabricating shop can make some custom brackets that will allow a range of adjustments while working with stock sliders. It's just metal.

thank you all. yes i am aware of the brackets that lower the seat but i have yet to find a solution to raise it to me this is important because the final position of the seats will help determine other issues such as harness and hans set up
