PM mooty, he's got all the secrets. he got my brother's 7gt3 ccw c10's to work on his current 6gt3 -- 245(40)/315(30). will prob require some sort of spacers.
No rub in rear, only rub in front @ full lock.

i can always HELP you break it.... er.. i mean break it in....
997gt3 wheels is not a straight swap on to 996gt3. you need spacers but it should fit.

Attention !!
With 44/51... spacers will not help.
Stock 6GT3 rear wheels have an offset of 63mm, meaning the 51mm offset of the 7GT3 wheels place them outwards by 1/2" IF they were the same width which they ain't. With 12" rims (7GT3) vs the 6's 11" wheels it will further exacerbate the situation. Spacers will only make things worst.
