I bought mine at the dealer for something like $15 many years ago but somebody posted that it is just a stand "X" number of slat design removal tool that can be picked up at wally mart, auto zone, etc. Hopefully somebody will chime in.

I bought mine online, eBay, I think. At any rate, p/n 000 721 920 40. Imprinted on mine is "Mann filter LS7."

Porsche one can be had from Sunset Imports in Oregon. Under 20 bucks. It also works on a Extended Life Mobil 1 spin-on filter, so whatever fits the M1 should work on the P-car.

I bought one from Canadian tire that looked close but it was too small so I went back and bought the larger size: it didn't fit either. So I bought one from Napa that looked right but that didn't fit so I bought one of the universal adjustable ones and it didn't work either. Finally I ordered one from the local Porsche shop and ended up with a full set of 5 that will undo any European filter but it cost more than the cost of a dealer oil change. The kit looks great in the tool cabinet though and so does all the other stuff I picked up while I was in their shopping for filter wrenches. I wouldn't recommend this approach
