That's crazy. Why didn't we smell gas? Wasn't it leaking? Or is it inside the tank?

What do you have to do to inspect? Who hasn't run low out on the track.

remove fuel pump, not a hard job, or least look inside the tank. I belive it explodes from the inside out, so you may not see any signs, possibly a bubbling effect. supposed to be 1000 PSI Fuel Injection hose.

Exactly. Everything happened in the tank. And in my 996TT's case, the dealer assumed "fuel contamination", so they replaced all the non-metal parts including lines, pump, tank, possible teflon nozzles, etc under "goodwill".

Thanks for the excellent information and glad to see you back in business. If you run down to quarter tank is that too low?

Thanks for the heads-up. I have never run out of gas on the track, but have come close. I'll keep my eyes onthe fuel levels!

I was only charged for fuel lines and labor, not that your dealer/service shop will have the same attitude. It appears you have to purchase the whole fuel pump as the lines are not separate. Since my Pump was ok, and just the lines burst, I got off easy.

Yes, PCNA also tried the "bad/race gas" scenario, but I explained I have no reason to hide anything. I never put nothing by premium in my car, and I don't beleive the previous owner did as well.

I don't suggest a 1/4 tank of gas at the begining of a DE session if they are over 20 minutes. This is where I got in trouble. 1/2 tank for me from now on.

These lines are supposed to 1000 PSI Fuel Injection hose, it appears a few of us have had issues. I was just blessed with being low on fuel and ironically had this problem occur. I thought how wierd, I put fuel in the car, and car wont' start "WTF". I just hope I didn't put much strain on my starter after all the start attempts.

No incline. I needed the wood as lifters to help clear the cup brake ducts on the "3" as I have a Benk-Pack lift on the floor between those boards...

Love that lift btw. Best money I have ever spent. I head to the track garage often to work on our 4 cars...
