Default ATE Cayenne rotors for GT3

I understand that the ATE front rotors for a Cayenne S fit our 6GT3's. Does anyone have any experience with these in terms of ease of installation and performance?

Thanks.

my source for brakes told me a year ago, that Toureg front rotors were rumored to fit our cars. He sent me a set. They did not fit. I don't know what differences there may be between cayenne and Toureg rotors.

FWIW, I am very satisfied with the slotted front rotors from Rick Deman at $600 a set. Direct bolt on for 996 and 997 GT3 with 350 mm rotors.

FWIW, a very well know shop in CT told me exactly the same thing about ATE rotors, and had several cars at the CR with them on the front. No personal experience.

GiroDisc (replacement discs and hardware costs less than a full throw away set of DeMans --- OR Deman.
Depends on what your mission is -

Give me a shout when you need them -

Put a set on Saturday. Went on easy. Going to Monticello this week. I'll report back on the brake feel. Initial brake tests on the road indicate no substantial change from the Cup rotors. Will post some pix as well.

But what do they cost?

Are they drilled or slotted,

or shaken, or stirred?

So are you saying they really fit? Tirerack has them at 130$ a side in 350mm. Please report back.

They fit perfectly fine. The only difference is that they don't have holes for those small phillips head screws that ours do. But you put them on securing them with the wheel bolts and once the calipers are on, the rotors are firmly in place. No need for the screws which, once you see how small they are, are certainly not what holds the rotors in place. No noise, nothing. As I said, after Monticello where these suckers better haul me down from 160-170mph plus on the back straight, I'll report. FHP911, the ATE are slotted rotors. See my link in the first post.

Hmmmm. The price is right and if they hold up it is a good CDR (cheap disposable rotor) option. Keep us informed

People,

I was talking to Dan Jacobs (renowned for his Hairy Dog Grrrage in Connecticut) a few days ago. He assured me that the Cayenne front rotors fit fine on the 6GT3 [didn't ask about the 7GT3] and they are $130 per side.

DeMan and Farnbacher charge $300+ for theirs -- I need a new set and will buy from Dan right away.
{I feel better buying from Dan, a class guy, than from faceless (even though they are good) Tire rack}

I bought a set from Dan and he brought them up to Monticello for me this past week. They'll go on, when my cup rotors wear out...I feel good about giving Dan the business.

I'll report back how they wear once I've installed them
