PowerFlex bushings
Has anybody seen or used these for the 996? It appears they have some good options for those worried about using spherical bearings on the street. I am thinking about ordering the sway bar bushings, subframe bushings, and for the upper rear suspension mounts. Just wanted to see if there was any feedback.

No experience with these, but it looks like a good option.

Out of curiosity i inquired about this. would consider urethane, not really sure about monoballs as i drive the car on the street as well. this is the response that i recieved....
Frank,
A lot of the 996 suspension components are shared with the GT3. Which
particular bushings or mounts are you interested in? Our bushings and mounts
come in 3 different durometers depending on locations and amount of
potential vibrations. Overall, Powerflex tries to make a good compromise for
street and track without noticeable vibration. Our bushings are noticeably
softer than monoball style bushings in all applications.
Thanks,
Brian Fowler

I'm upping this thread...Anyone with 996 experience on these?
I have recently hear some good comments about these in 996s, the full bushings kit is not very expensive either...

Up again. Only comment I have heard was a guy in a 996 Turbo who said these are good. No other 996 specific stories.
Friends drive with monoballs in their track 996s, but I want to enjoy some street drives now and then and so I am thinking of these...(Original bushings are old.)
The question: As I am track focused do you think I will be okay with these on tracks, or do you see I will be longing for monoballs...? I sure understand that the car is no race car but a track focused street car...
Seth, did you buy these?
Thanks!

I've just had a fair few suspension bushes replaced with Powerflex parts;
my only comments so far are positive;
I was expecting more NVH but it hasn't worked out that way - if anything it is actually quieter than stock !
haven't driven the car much since having them fitted, but I'm out on the new Silverstone F1 GP Arena circuit tomorrow, so we'll see what the difference really is !

Drmark - if you see a mk1 CS, red, in the Cotswolds - it's probably me ! I live there too
I ended up with most of my bushes being changed out - ball joints were OK, but most of the bushes were toast.
Chris fitted different types in different areas, dependent upon application requirements.

Very hard to tell by feel, I suspect. When I replaced all mine with mono-*****, it was only after removing the bottom arms & dogbones that the delamination in the bushes was apparent. The car felt "ok" with the worn bushes, but it also felt pretty nervous at the rear in fast corners when under maximum lateral loads.
I run all mono-ball suspension suspension on the street in the UK (where we tend to get quite a bit of weather!) & so far it's held up really well. Every joint is protected with a rubber boot filled with grease to prevent crud hitting the bearing surfaces.

Is Powerflex's factory back up and running? I bought CAB's for my bimmer 4 months ago and was told fire destroyed their factory. Distributors who ran out of stock did not know when they will get product again.
