I am wondering if anyone can let me know what class I would be racing in AND what other cars would I be competing against with the following car:
2004 GT3
Hoosier R6 or A6 tires usually
new springs 700# and 900#
AWE exhaust
some alignment changes
That's about all of the mods on it. Would I be competing directly with Cup cars, or just other GT3's... Koni cars???? I'm getting prepared to do my first PCA race later this season, but I am confused by the different classes.
Thanks

i dont know what class.
but based on what you said, you will not be competitive against any cup car unless they are driven by newbies. they are 500-600 lbs lighter than you and they are on slicks.
you wont be competitive against koni cars either.

That would be a J stock car, should be very competitive. The main downside to the PCA stock classes is you need to run stock weights, so yo udrag a lot of weight around. You will need to do a fair amount of suspension work to be competetive.

Phil,
Thanks! You are right about the weight, my biggest question is what other cars would be in the same class, but I guess I find out at the first race. I grew up in Bozeman and my folks still live there... we spend all of July and part of June and August there! I was surprised to see your address pop up as Bozeman!
