Default HANS specific harnesses, anyone?

Getting ready to install seats, rollbar, and harnesses. Will be getting new helmet and HANS device. I'm wondering if the newer HANS-specific harnesses offer that much of an advantage over traditional 3" harnesses. Any thoughts or experience?

TIA

I have sold, installed, and used both with a Hans. I prefer the 2" Hans shoulders with the 3" sternum as done on the Schroth belts. My customers also seem to like them very much. I have had a number of customers with the 3" shoulder, switch to the 2" and they were pleased (this was assuming they had the Schroth to begin with).

I have the 3" Schroth and find no problems securing the shoulder straps. The groove on the HANS is over 2 1'2" wide at the top/rear portion with an angled lip that is over 3/8" tall. This provides very good security for a 3" strap in my opinion.

I hated the 3inch shoulder belt on the hans. It overlaps or runs over. I wished it worked then I wouldn't have to buy a hans specific 2 inch belt. 2 inch belt is better fitting- feels more tied in as well as the 2 inch lapbelts. Mike
