All he needs to do to finish the job is a C4 chasis, GT1 bottom end, GT3 top end, yank the rear seats, remove the Nav system, change the seats, lighten the car, ditch the spare tire.....
Another $50k and he should have himself a GT3.
Very nice car though. If I was shopping for a Carrera I'd jump on it.

You are right. In US, 996 GT3 was only available in 2004 and 2005. And there was no 996 Carrera S either. Carrera 4S was available from 02-04 but that's the wide body.
