trying them out on my car this week.............can not wait to hear them. Indeed, post a video/audio!
What is so awful? The loudness, the tone, the resonance ?
I suppose if you drive the car on the street they are most likely VERY loud (think un-corked cup car)

Of course the sound is going to be a subjective experience. With that said, there is NO BETTER SOUND than the GT3 at WOT with bypass pipes installed. For the street? Too much. For the track? If your tracks don't have db requirements, then it's a must!

A bit of a PITA on public road, you have to pick your spots.

Bypass pipes are LOUD. No doubt, too loud for the street.
The big advantages IMO at the track (in addition to hearing the motor and not hearing the wife ) are dropping the weight of the cans and losing the muffler 'heat sink'.
Mufflers just BAKE up under those fenders after running hard!

Hahaha
Sorry but agreed.
Hit the nail on the head, for track work they are ideal though!

Nothing better than driving around the city, having the sound echo off the buildings and setting off all the car alarms behind you (and that's not even at high rpm!).
