I would like to remove the radio from my 2004 GT3 and install the OE dash shelf. (I do have console delete.) What will I need to do to avoid effecting the alarm system or other related components to do so? I would appreciate any input.

It's easy to do, but you must have the little radio removal tools. These slide in on each side of the radio and unlock it from the dash. You can get them online or at some stereo shops. Mercedes also uses them.

Turbo,
I have the keys from SW Stereo. My concern is what to do to the alarm system to the radio when it's remove from the dash? I do need to use the car alarm without the CDR 23 installed.

I'm 99% sure that there is no issue. The radio is not coded and the alarm didn't go off when radio is out. I replaced mine with a Kenwood unit that was ipod compatible. I don't think you'll have any problems having the radio absent.

Nope, just pull it out, I put mine in only for long trips and pull it back out. Just make sure that if the car is at the dealer the tech does not clear the radio fault. Otherwise you can take it in and out as many times as you want. No code needed/
