Sorry for not clarifying earlier.

This set of mufflers is meant for any/all normally aspirated 996s, 1998 through 2005. The mounting brackets that are included on them will fit all the narrow body cars, C2, C4 non S (early 996 here, and avail in Europe after 2002), and the MK1 as well as MK2 GT3. This set will also fit the C4S, but one would have to re-use the muffler mounting brackets from the C4S.

I hope that didn't just cause more confusion.

I bought a new set of factory mufflers. These were removed them from a C2 I purchased.

Which brings me to another point, I spoke to them last week, and was told that one set of maxflo mufflers were manufactured for all 996s, but somebody from here called Fabspeed, who told them that the 996 C2 and 996 GT3 exhausts are different (even though the website shows them to be the same). Mine look exactly like the ones pictured for a GT3 (and I'm looking at a GT3 set up in person, and they look the same to me).

Anyway, if somebody's local, you're welcome to try them on before purchasing, otherwise I suppose I cannot confirm that they'd fit on a GT3 without actually trying to bolt them on.

Although the outside of the factory 996 C2 can is the same as the factory 996GT3 muffler, it is different on the inside....6GT3's has fewer baffles.

Considering the muffler cans that Fabspeed uses for either car appears the same, I'd imagine these would drop right in, the piping looks the same also...

The mounting hardware on the GT3 is slightly different then the C2.

Have you had the two side by side? Do the mounting points on the mufflers actually match up (I'm under the impression that they do)?

For what it's worth....
I had a set of Fabspeed mufflers on my '99 C2. Fabspeed said they'd fit an '04 GT3 no problem.
Well, they wouldn't fit. The pipes wouldn't line up by about 1/2 inch, and I wasn't about to force them.
YMMV... just some info
