Question Dension iPod connector

I saw an earlier thread about a group buy for the Dension iPod connector. I'm planning on installing one in my 996 RS this week, so I was hoping I could get some input from folks on this forum who have one in their car.

Are they're fully compatible with the latest iPods? TIA for any advice.

Are you installing it yourself? If so let us know how the install goes. Is it for pre-2000 cars only?

I'm having it installed by an ex-Porsche tech who now does this stuff for a living. I think it's fairly simple, though.

My car is a 2004 996 GT3 RS with MOST bus. I'm installing speakers in back as the RS comes without rear speakers, although the wiring and covers are in place.

Year-end roadtrip coming up as usual, but I want to have music with me this time.
