During the past week, I've had something happen to me that hasn't happened before. When I push the clutch and turn the key to start the car, nothing happens. No clicking, no hard starting, nothing.
I let out the clutch, push it back in and turn the key again and it starts. Today, I had to let the clutch out 3 times before it would start.
The alt gauge looks fine as far as juice, but this is the original battery (4 yrs, 2 months old car).
Is this a precursor to the battery going out, starter or what?
I remember previously with BMWs the battery just gave up all of a sudden without warning. Don't know about this one as it's my first P car.

probably a simple fix...there is a switch that requires the clutch to be fully depressed (to the rug) for the starter to engage...either the switch is going bad or you are not depressing the clutch far enough...

Agree that most likely it is the little contact switch for the clutch pedal. Give the Porsche dealer a shot at this one, they really need our business these days.
