I have only regreted selling 2 cars in my life--My '68 CJ5 (that my grandpa bought new and was passed on to me) and my 05 6gt3. I found the CJ5 10 years later and was able to pry it from the new owner's reluctant hands (for twice the $ I sold it for!). I know where the gt3 is...I am coming Bill, I am coming. If I can't pry it from his hands, I will pry one from someones! Serious as a f'in heartattack--that car put its mark on me.

The 6GT3 is so much fun and I still have so much to learn. I'm keeping it as I don't know what I would replace it with. What else can I drive to the track, change tires and completely enjoy a day at the track.

I sold 2 '88 M3's over the last 10 years. Still have 1 in the garage but can't get over the fact that I sold the other 2. I don't want that same feeling with my '04 GT3. Ordered it to spec in late '03 with delivery in June '04. Love it and can't think of a better alternative when you consider the cost of replacing it. I had the opportunity to get a 997 RS at MSRP but could not justify the add'l cost. If I had the free cash at that time that is the only car I would have swapped out for.

I dodged the bullet in the fall, I was wanting to drive something new and kind of sort of put the 3 up for sale. Fortunately I came to my senses before a cheque showed up - it's such a good car, and becoming rarer every day. If I do retire it from the track I'll just put the street seats and setup back on it and drive it every day.

+1 Never selling for the reasons below:
Purchased it pre-wife. All mine
Invested more then the purchase price of my Daily Driver on mods- No divorce yet...
Spent like 6 mo dialing the thing in- gave up and had Stanton do it
I have an M3 for racing W2W
