where did you put your traqmate/chasecam?
I'm trying to figure out where to mount the traqmate main unit and the chasecam DVR? Can you post some photos to help me out? On option is to do the center console delete, but I'd rather not.
Thanks!

The rear center console is the large piece that extends from the gear ship to the rear "seating" area. The piece you are thinking about that most do a "delete" off is the lower console.
I put mine in the storage area under where you elbow would rest.

Thanks Dell, That's what i wanted to do but it doesn't fit with the Traqtach serial plug. Did you cut a hole for it?
Under the seat huh? Did you have any issues with clearance?

I have the Traqdata which is the same size as the Traqtach. It fit. It was a tight fit but a little dremel work to the back the console will allow for it.

Traqmate / Chasecam Mount
I mount my Traqmate SU and my Chasecam PDR100 on the center console. The SU is just a velcro strip on the center console and on the SU. The PRD100 is velcro strips around the unit in the console. The bullet cam is mounted on the passenger side seat on the ear of the GT3 seat.
I also have the Traq Sync cable to automatically link the data/video. I get the RPM's from the ODB II port.
Traqmate is hard-wired and the Chasecam is powered via the cigarette adapter.

I put the display unit in front of the tach, and the SU in the front trunk. There are many flat places to put it there, and it is completely out of the way. That way, I can run the GPS right out onto the back edge of the hood with no wire showing. The power comes directly from the battery. This way, most of it is invisible. No drilling. No wires out the window or out the door.

Dell,
Ehh...in the same paragraph, it says that,
"Other good locations include the trunk floor and on the transmission tunnel."
I tried both and found NO difference in tracings or recorded data, so I put it in the trunk for a cleaner installation.

For all of you with the traqmate- is it worth it?
The idea of having lap by lap comparison of which lines are fastest seems like an obvious way to get faster
I used data acq on my road bicycle on century rides for years and it made me an hour plus over the course of a ride
What kind of improvements do you all see?
Sorry I know this is a bit off topic. ;-)

Beyond worth it! The data acquisition aspect is the key to the unit. The ability to analyze segment times based on different variables made me faster. Is it faster to brake later and have more entry speed or less entry and more exit, etc, are some of the questions you can ask and get answers to. Even better was the ability to compare identical laps between yourself and another friend with TM to see who is faster is different segments/sectors of the track. The problem a "lap timer" has is that there are an infinite number of was to get the same lap time. A true DA system allows you to find the best way to complete segments/sectors to produce the best lap and then go out an do it.
