Default A/C Delete 996 GT3

Ok I have asked this question before without a single response. I know of four unique A/C delete cars here in the Pacific Northwest where you dont need A/C. Does anyone else out there own or have ever seen another A/C delete 996GT3 in the USA? Iam trying to gauge how unique this option is, its not for everyone, however the three VW twist **** HVAC is cool!

Jeff

Now THAT is bare bones. Not even a radio! Pretty cool...er...hot! (depending on locale)

I've looked at a bunch and never seen or heard of one.

AC delete is hardcore. Mine's packed in at the moment and the heat soak is uncomfortable. Even in the UK, AC delete cars trade at a 15k USD discount if you can sell them and that's 996 GT3 RSs! Not really an option many are willing to forgo.

F that! My race car has no AC and in Socal you're pushing 107 F. My GT3 has A/C and I hooked it up to my helmet port, great on pre grid.

In 2005 I had a customer drop his car off direct from the dealer, and had me remove his stereo, speakers, and anything else not required for operation, but Factory delete?! That is cool!

Thanks Austin....its very cool, the 996GT3 is the last of the Porsche machines that could be devoid of of nearly everything required by a female. It is a pain to drive when its hot, I drive an AC turbo for those days.

I know a local guy with A/C & stereo delete (he doesn't post here).

Had I not gotten a very good deal to buy it off the lot, that's how I would've ordered mine.

I'm in Europe now so will check my data base when I get back home.

Best I can remember, I only had records for about three or four with the factory AC delete (actually the AC was a no cost option for 2004-2005 North American spec 996 GT3).

No AC from factory.

- "mds" had a speed yellow one
- "Marco Polo" had one
- Midnight Blue Metallic

I have run across one previously. I believe it was at the Porsche Parade AutoX event. It really looked out of place with those three ***** & without the familiar Audi HVAC screen. I remember it catching me off guard completely.

Do you remember the color of the car at the Parade autocross? And MR. ENTHUSIAST you have a data base? Yes please check it, that is extreme horsepower to have access to that information. Thanks again, I cant wait to hear your answer.
