TRG has a "similar" item - http://www.theracersgroup.com/shop/airbox.php

Price: $1900

Fits '00-'01 GT3 RSR. All carbon fiber constrution with aluminum air inlet horn. Unrestricted this intake can make well over 450hp! This is a genuine, original Porsche Motorsport piece.

your use of "similar" is pretty broad Joe...the ebay one is an air box with air filter and the TRG item looks like a plenum intake with no air box or filtering...they do both provide air to the motor so I guess they are "similar"

In order for it to work properly, don't you need the lid to make a proper seal?? Or is it just the 997 Cups that are like that??

Thats not a bad deal. The air filter alone from PMNA is 400..which you can't get anywhere else...

IIRC, you need the Cup car decklid for that to work properly (it has the same shape molded into it and makes a seal for the incoming air). Also, that won't fit with our MAF (which the Cup doesn't have).
