i asked if all wheel drive could be added to the gt2 in part of a rally car build........ FYI
damn subarus on wet days kill the all competiton....... so yes, a turbo would be good, but a gt2 motor would be better.
unless you guys think the motor is only as good as the base turbo model...........

The 996 911 GT2 is produced combining technology used in 996 Turbo and 996 GT3 with much increased power. Engine is an evolution of the race-proven unit that powered the 911 GT1, which won in 1998 Le Mans . The water-cooled, twin-turbo flat six develops 340 kW (462 bhp) from a displacement of 3,600 cm3, as well as maximum torque of 620 Nm from 3,500 to 4,500 rpm.
as suggested above...do some research...

there are many "gt2" availible with rear wipers Nav, and sunroofs... the cost to install a GT2 badge labor and materials is like $ 50.00.... ..
so many scammers do so trying to sell to the uneducated buyer.. just do some searches here you will see many post about the same thing... i have a GT2 so does Wilm.. i can promise they are not the same as a turbo or anything close

i did research and the only detail i could commonly get would be that the 996 GT2 was based on the 996 GT3 motor.
i didnt know what extent, which is why i asked.
some people on the thread claimed to just buy a turbo over a GT2 and lighten it, but that would be saying that the GT2 engine is not really worth the high dollar when you can simply pump up a turbo.
But that wasnt anywhere near my question.
That is why i wondered if the GT2 motor uses alot titanium parts like the GT3, hence i asked for a comparable. Only because the GT2 is said to be derived from a GT3. Is it just the case? cooling? curious.
it cannot be just a turbo car pumped up with all wheel drive removed?

the other reason why i asked about a GT2 with possible all whel drive was due to the claim in the ebay ad which looked very legit.
thus far somebody annouced in the thread that the turbo was avaialble with the gt2 powertrain. any truth?
again, i just wanted to see if a couple of GT2's were produced with all-wheel drive?
Porsche built a handful of turbo cabriolets in 1995, so yeah, weird stuff does happen on occassion.
from the posts, i assume this is not one of those occasions
