315/30 MPSC
After installing short R&P I m thinking about wider tires at the rear. The stock PS2 are no longer enough.
Do 315/30 MPSC fit to 6GT3 norrow body on wheels 11J ?
thanks
Marcin

I found this in the archives. The 315 will fit, but you may not like how it feels.

Allan,
Thanks for linking to that post. I wonder how NJ-GT's car was set up at the time. I've thought about that tire several times but my car feels almost perfect [for a street car] on the stock sized MPSCs. It's an expensive experiment if it doesn't work!

Ok I have the answer
to put 315 MPSC you need 12J et45 GT2 to work correctly. With no ruber in norrow body fits only 285 MPSC on GT2 wheel.
To use 315 MPSC one has to wider the rear fender (e.g rolling them). No chance to put 315 MPSC on 12J or even 11J stock wheel in norrow body.

I've run 315's in Nitto and Hoosier on an 11" wheel and NO RUBBING whatsoever. Trying to mash as 12" wheel back there is not a good idea nor needed.

I m tallking about 315 MPSC. its really wide tire. May be the same as r888 335 and hoosier 335. I emailed with Rad, and this is his experience not mine.
ps Dell, Pirelli is changing the name of range for some slicks' sizes. Tomorrow I ll get the new range. Probably the D3-6 will not exist in our size.

I know what you are talking about. It is NOT the size of a 335 tire (almost but not quite). It is almost the same as a 315 Hoosier R6 but still slightly wider. The better fit for you would be the 295/30 tire as it is VERY similar in size to the 315 NT01 and 315 R6. Regardless, Michelin suggests both an 11" wheel for the 295 and 315 MPSC. Personally I would go with the 295/30.

Might be a moot point as tire Rack says "closeout" under the MPSC 315/18 with "fewer than 2 left". Has Michelin stopped maiking this size??? The MPSC care and feeding power point presentation states that it works better to have the norrower tire size mounted on a wider rim than a wider tire mounted on a narrower rim. I'm contemplating the 265/295 combo or switching to R888 or Nittos

Cool, I'm glad the 315 NT01s work well on an 11 inch wheel since this is the first thing I'm going to do with my 930 when I get it back from my engine project.
I however don't understand your last sentence. It's almost a universal rule that for a given tire size the widest rim it will fit will support the tire the best and have the best response. If a 12 fits, why not?

What's not to understand? A 12" wheel is not "correct" in the back so why to "mash" it in a space not designed to accommodate it? Sure, a 12" would hold the tire better but the car will not hold the wheel better. Better?

Honestly I have no idea what size and offsets they are. I am pretty sure they are 9" front and 11" rear. Is there a way to find the info on the wheel, etc? I bought both my Fikse's and my BBS wheels from other Rennlisters and they don't know the exact numbers. The Fikse are the Profil13 Motorsport and the BBS are the E88 Motorsport.
Have been on 3 slicks now......
Michelin 24/65 Front 27/65 Rear
Yokohama 230 and 250/650 Front and 280/650 Rear
Pirelli 245/645 Front 305/645 Rear
**update**
I ran out to the garage and there are NO size or offset markings on the wheels.
