Let me know if you are going for sure and maybe we can score someone to take extra wheels.
The listed proforance days are for sure... is that what you meant?

Yes for Portland: The PCA cost is $120 and $65 for instructors. I have 3 Portland in June.

I have not been to PIR yet but from what I hear ex10psi is right!

as far as Pacific Raceways is concerned -- do not lift off the throttle in turn 1
I am sure that they will cover this in the driver's meeting though... it is universally known etc.

Cheers,
I think that is a PCA day so you will have an instructor. I just signed up and would be glad to help out as I am an instructor. Curt Smith is a very good driver/instructor and has a GT3. Send an email to the registrar and ask for either of us. Are you coming down for the ground school? They require it for first timers.

Pacific is a fun track very technical and 4 good passing zones. The surface is rough and run off is tough. I enjoy having both tracks close.

Hopefully I never find out how tough the run off is.

A local guy runs a Vancouver-based ground school for us Canucks to save us a drive down there so we're covered. Thanks for the heads up.

I'll send a note to the registrar. Looking forward to meeting you!

Cheers,

Portland is my home track, but varity is the spice of life. Pacific is a much different track with turns 2 and 7 being the highlights (at least for me).
PJS, you are correct, do not lift off the gas in turn one, but be prepared for turn 2, really prepared. Turn 7 is blind and almost scary at top speed, at least for me since I needed my 06 M3 to get me home and not in a ball all wadded up.
Turns 3, 5a,5b and 6 are way cool. It is almost like hauling a** on a country road and getting away with it! That is the best feeling.
Run off or lack there of, is the sinking feeling in the pit of anyones stomach. Pay attention.
