Hoosier Tire Pressure For AutoX

Hoosier Tire Pressure For AutoX
Okay, there have been many threads with tire pressures for hoosier R6s for the track but I thought an update on pressures folks are using for the A6 for autocross would be useful.
I know this will depend on camber, course, and driving style but I need a good starting point. Thanks.
My camber is -2.5 f and -2.3 rear and on the stock tires with a pyrometer, I found the best pressures were 29f/35R.
Thanks.

Okay, I gotta ask, that's a pretty big spread (and I know you are both great drivers). What gives? At least the differential f to r is the same and fairly consistent with what I've found f to r on the street tires. I just want to know where to start so I'm not too far off next weekend. Thanks.

John,
My pressures come from our setup for asphalt SCCA Solo2 SS class. IMHO Hoosiers require more pressure than V710's and pyrometer work confirms that. We run a different setup than any other GT3 I have spoken to. Rear Bar full stiff and front bar 1 off full stiff. All our setup info has been posted before if you search. By the way, I am not a great driver, but my co-driver, Ian Stewart, is pretty damn good

I run on 10"/12" wheels, with stiffer springs and 285/335 sizes.
At the track, I run the A6 at 32/36, at autoX 28/32.
Peter is a very good driver, he just chooses a great co-driver...

Thank you both for your input. I'll likely split the difference as my alignment is probably in between them as well. I'll tweak with the pyrometer as I go. Forecast is overcast and for rain this Sunday so may be tough to get temps. Doh!

Just for completeness, auto-x today went very well. My camber settings are right in between Rads and Peters (-2.4f, -2.3 rear) and so my pressures ended up similarly in between (33f, 37r). Temps were low today so it still may need some tweaking. Nevertheless, the car felt very nice this way, was easy to control at the limit, seemed to rotate well, and just generally was amazing. Hoosiers turns the beast into a totally different car with tremendously increased range.
The results speak for themselves as I had FTD for a stock Porsche at the NNJR PCA event. Thanks for both of your help.

Congratulations, stock Porsche FTD is not an easy task at the NNJR-PCA autocrosses.
Did my buddy Andres with a Red Cayman S show up? he's a very good driver.

More updates. My testing seems to validate what Peter found as well. I did another event today and I kept finding the inside of the fronts a bit hot and was lowering the pressure but I think losing grip in the process. My conclusion is I have too much front camber.
So, I am going to put the struts back the way they were (which will make me legal for SS again) and see how it goes. Even still, the setup was pretty quick. I think I was a few tenths ahead of Andres again. Then, I need to figure out where I want the bars. Unfortunately, there's not much time left before Deven which I am going to try to go to. This car is seriously fun.
