With techquip rollbar difficult to put nething in the back due to diagonal brace but with Dasport bar- I could put 2 helmets in the back when I head to the track. Mike

I'm 6'4 and dont' have a problem with the buckets..as mentions, you sit a little lower, and if you remove the velcro padding, you gain about 2 inches and really sit low. I luv the feel, snug as a bug in a rug.

Full leather was a must have for me. The plastic looks really cheap and since I bought my car new, I couldn't spend that amount of money and hate the interior. Since you'll be spending 2/3 of what I did, maybe it's not as relevant.

Agree that the xenons are nice, but shouldn't be a deal breaker.

If I were buying one today, I'd lean towards one with the GT3 seats and roll bar already in it and not worry too much if it's seen the track a few times if it hasn't been abused.

If you're serious about tracking, pass the "euro seat" option and get a real racing seat for the track weekends.

Ditto on that, I wish mine had cruise control. But I sure don't want to pay the money now to add it. Not a deal breaker for me...but sure is nice on those long drives. I'ts not real easy to keep the car just going 70 mph

Also I wanted to add, I have the euro GT3 seats. I was worried how comfortable they would be and was looking for some OEseats for comfort daily driving....the euro seats are surprisingly comfortable once you get in, not real easy getting in and out of the car...but once your in, they're good. No longer looking for OE seats, I'm sticking w/the Euro GT3 seats !!!

seat approx 1600
slider and brackert 300-400
so about 2k per seat.

if you like, PM VB997, he has omp seat (very similar to mine in the pix). his seat is the same one that's shiipped with cup cars. i think he's looking for 2200 or so with rail/slider/bracket.

thx mooty and chris...I'm thinking about selling my TT to get a 996 gt3, still in preliminary stages of analysis. I'm keeping one Pcar in TX and one in CA this fall.

either 996 gt3 for driving to and around tracks in CA (so i can pass sound at LS also).

or

spec boxster or spec miata cup + tow vehicle + trailer. will probably get bored with it after 20-40 track days and sell it for a 996 gt3 cup.

2009 will be a cup car year for me either way...and I can see the $ flying out the windows and seams now!

Any 6'1" guys out there with feedback?
Headroom was never an issue for me even with the helmet on and I'm 6' 3"

Best to ask a dealer to start, IMO. Then shop it if it's possible.
