Default Which brake ducts are these?

Ok, I have a question. I know the cup brake duct part numbers and these look like cup brake ducts but, they have a different part number imprinted on them. The numbers imprinted on them are:

996.341.484.01
996.341.483.01

Anybody know why the discrepancy? Are these the right ducts? Thanks.

From an old archive thread, here is the list of 996 GT3 Ducts:

996.341.117.91 GT3 stock left
996.341.118.91 GT3 stock right
996.341.117.92 GT3RS left
996.341.118.92 GT3RS right
996.341.117.90 GT3Cup left
996.341.118.90 GT3Cup right

They look like Cups to me... I don't have a parts CD, so can't look it up.. Sorry!

It's interesting, here is another thread with those part numbers. Could they be 997 GT3 cup ducts? If so, is there any difference?

Then I would assume that they would have the "997" first three number designations...

Not sure John - maybe others (ViperBob, etc.) could chime in...

Well, still not sure what the numbers meant. Here is a pic with the old and new brake duct and here is a pic of it on the car. Looks identical to the cup brake ducts others have posted. Any others have any thoughts?

Chiming in here...

Blake's right, they are 996 Cup ducts.

The numbers are "casting" numbers, they are basically numbers once sent to the manufacturer who molded the main parts for Porsche prior to them being customized by Motorsport.

You'll find this on your wheel carriers (uprights) also, the number molded onto them by Brembo(as I recall) in Italy (where they're made - they have excellent Aluminum abilities in Italy, that's a whole 'nother story about Lamborghini and Ferrari in a pissing contest for sand castings) is several digits different than the number in the parts film produced by Porsche.

The disparity between casting number, cataloged number, and sticker label / invoice part number is normal, think nothing of it, you have the right parts for a 996 GT3, they are indeed Cup brake ducts.

I will try to figure out how to do it. I was at Portland 2 weeks back. The changed 7 through 11 and repaved the whole thing.
