Default anyone have the Griots ultra low profile floor jack??

I'm looking for a floor jack that can get under the GT3. Does anyone have this jack. It's a little pricey, however my current floor jack won't getr under the car.

Looking for your opinions good or bad. Here is the link http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...+floor+jack.do

I would think the Griots jacks are very good but pricey. Go to ASEdeals.com I have an AC hydraulic for the house and I bought two AFF 200T's for my garage at the track. Both the AC Hydraulics and 200T's are stout heavy low profile jacks that are not easily picked up and moved, even though they roll fine and can go in and out of a trailer fine. They would not be fun to put in and out of a pickup and would not fit easily in the back seat of a GT3 or the front trunk.

I looked at the ASE, Griot's and Sears Aluminum jacks. I went with Sears based on price and the fact that I only needed it for a few months. The Sears jack works fine and gets under the GT3 with no problems. Cost me $120 (ballpark). I will be purchasing a scissor lift next month, so didn't see the need to purchase a high quality jack... I'm looking at the Greg Smith brand and the BendPak.

Good luck.

I use an AC Jack at home, and the Aluminum Sears one at the track. Both fit easily under the GT3. Sears has 2 versions...one is partially aluminum, one is all aluminum. I think the only difference is weight and cost.

Thanks all
I will look into the Sears aluminum jack, I really hated the idea of spending nearly $400 for a jack that I will only use for a short while ( I am waiting on my shop to be built and have a will have a lift)

Or, for about $80, you can get an aluminum racing jack from harbor freight that works just fine. At that price they are disposable but should easily last a season or more. Gets under the GT3 easily. Also very lightweight and can easily fit in the car to take to the track.

Got my lo-pro jack from Pep Boys for $39. Works fine, fits under the 3. It's a Torin Big Red.

I have an ATD-7325 and it's great. No need to spend the extra cash on the Griot's model. I'm going to order another one now that you reminded me.

That ATD one looks really nice for a home garage. A bit heavy for the road. I've had a few HF jacks. One lasted a season, the second about 6 months. After that, they lost their cost effectiveness for me. They are light, though.

I call the HF jacks "the widow maker".

I've got one of those also. Works well, really low and super light weight. But I'd never use it without jack stands...

+1. I really wanted to buy the AC system (jack & jack stands) but that would run $800+. I chose to buy a short term solution with the Sears Aluminum jack, and then will acquire the scissor lift for $1600 this spring. Makes more sense for my applications as "easily" getting all four wheels off the ground is my end goal.
