I have an S2000 as my daily driver. I've actually had it for 8 years and planned to switch it for a more practical second car when I picked up the GT3 over a year ago. But I just haven't been able to bring myself to let it go. I still enjoy driving it too much -- it's set up so nicely (Ohlins, etc.) and so much fun to throw around. Oh yeah... I've never had a hard time getting in and out, but maybe that's just me.

Here's another Lotus vid that was posted a while ago from that wild track in Oz.

Three Wheelin'
gearbox is not very precise, sort of like GT3.
steering is beyond believe, you think it turns.
brakes, i hated it. i had porterfield R4, cheap but i hated it. pagid changed that.
also at 255 hp (255 cup) it is as fast as 996GT3 if not faster on the straights until 120-130mph.

Honda Elises are fun. My take is the NA ones are slower than a GT3 but the supercharged ones are quicker.
Fastest I've seen is an Audi Elise with 300+bhp. Made my GT3 look like it was in reverse (the slicks helped).

Interesting about the cup. The Exige Ss I've come across on track aren't even in the same stadium but then they are what 220bhp I think?

Interesting points of view.
I am agonising over a track/street car for Japan at the moment.
I have prieviously had stripped out 911's and currently have a clubman/caterham replica (1100lbs/220hp) in Australia that is seeing too little use.
choices are (drumroll.........)
'07 Exige S 1000km US$60k (but on auction for $45k)
or
'01 GT3 mk1 14000km us$60k
Both have their respective virtues.........
Ultimate speed doesn't really matter to me, but driver involvement and driver satisfaction/feedback are very high on my list. Lotus is probably more fun at sane speeds..........
