Default 996 GT3 Engine Refresh/Rebuild??

Gentlemen, at what point do you think these engines should be refreshed. Considering a lot of us are starting to get up in the 20K miles of track use. It would be cheaper to do a refresh rather than start from scratch!?? Your opinions welcome??

I have asked the question at a couple of places here in Seattle. I get the same advice... do not worry it is a great motor. They do say that the motor will start to show signs like being down on power and stuff in the oil. I am at 52,000 miles and it is going strong.

If most of your driving is on the street the motor should last a long long time with proper maintance. If most of of your miles are on the track do a leak down and compression test at the end of the season, that way any work that needs to be done can be done over the winter.
