I currently live in Taipei and fly to the U.S. quite often these days for business. Starting in 2008, I will be visiting the Philadelphia area more frequently than ever before and have decided to consider buying a used Porsche for my transportation needs instead of spending thousands of dollars a year on rental cars. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Are autotraders.com any good? How about pre-certified used Porsches from a Porsche dealer? TIA for any help.

Use http://www.porsche.com/usa/ to do a search of local dealers and their inventory. Independent dealers like Holt Motorsports, High Marques, AIC Auto are also places to check.

John,
Craigslist.com is a good site to look for cars from private owners. It's a free posting site, so you'll usually find a wide variety. It is more popular at different cities, and if you click one, it brings up posts related only to that city.

I live about an hour from philly.. and I am selling a 100% stock 88 951 turbo "s" that is in prestine condition.. Always garaged, immaculate inside and out.. and never abused. Let me know if you are interested in this series of porsches to use as your daily driver when you are in philly.. or If you are only interested in the 911 type stuff.
Thanks,
Keith

I use this site: http://www.rallystuff.com/pcar_sources.html
As far as I can tell, it lists the most sources of used Porsches within the US & Canada.
Good luck!
