I'm trying to gauge my progress @ MSR and I need some measuring points...

3.1 CCW - I 've heard Cup cars running anywhere between 2:13's - 2:16's
1.7 CCW - I've heard Cup cars running anywhere between 1:16's - 1:18's

I've recently installed a traqmate and have my laptimes only for 3.1 CCW....

Any input on what type of laptimes can be expected and or categorized as blazing fast, very fast, pretty fast, fast or you suck from a 996
GT3 would be appreciated...

 

A buddy of mine was turning 1:21 and change with slicks. His 996 GT3 was stock with a track alignment. That was CCW on the 1.7 track. I would consider that to be a good time, few were faster.

 

I'll be out at MSR this Friday for the 1.7 CCW and will get my laptimes...

thanks for the feedback, according to my calcualtions that is an average of 75.5 mph, that is a very good time, yes...I use to run a 1:24 in my Ruf R-Turbo and I expect to shave a few seconds off that time in my GT3...

 

I'll be there Friday, with Hoosiers for the first time. I've run 1:21.70 on a very good day w/PSC's. Interestingly, I'm only a little over a second faster in a Pirelli Slicked 355Challenge.
I'd love to meet you and compare notes. I'm driving up from Austin Friday morning and should be there between 9a and 10a.
