Default New Tequipment

Porsche Tequipment has new all red tail lights for the 997 and side strips for all new models. Has anyone seen all red tail lights for the 996? I have a artic silver GT3 that is pretty boring. Other than red 6 point belts, you could lose it in the fog. The new side strips fkor the 997 GT3 should fit a 996. One of the colors is "aluminum". Would that be "artic silver" or posibaly a slightly different hue that would "ghost" the side strip nicely on a silver car ?Has someone tried this and have pictures? I don't think I could go black or red.

No oem. But these is a large collection of aftermarket parts available for the 996. Start there

The side stripes are by Porsche and they can be ordered on new cars and they talk about it the new Christophorus magazine, page 77. Our local Porsche dealer can get them for $293 fora set/kit and they appear to fit fine on 996's. The stripes come in 4-5 different colors, one of which is "aluminum" color. They can say any model of Porsche, one of which is "GT3". If it is a match to a piece of aluminum, and not a mtach to artic sliver Porsches, it might look cool on my artic silver car, a "ghost" effect.
All red tail lights would be desirable on a 996 GT3 silver car too.
I'm just trying to doll up the old car.

It sounds like you're trying to "bling" out your GT3. <yawn>

It seems Porsche has recently introduced these for all models.

Tacky in my opinion.

Why do you care so much how the car looks like outside? You won't see all those bling blings from behind the wheel in any case so GO DRIVE IT!!!

...at least that's what I bought mine for. And If it was only for the looks, I would've gotten something different...
