Question European users: were do I find a fast GT3 spare parts supplier ?

Unfortunately in my last track day the external cranckshaft pulley...has disappeared .

An interesting situation as it happened at the end of the straight line , just before the turn, the steering assistance disappeared together with the belt that linked it to the pulley..

Well, as it always happens, when my garage ordered the spares from Porsche Spain, they:

1.- Didn't find the spare ( one week )
2.- When they finally did they said that it belonged to Motorsport ? ( three days)
3.- They thought that, probably it could come on tuesday..
4.- Today, thursday, the spare is not here..

5.- And I have another track day in 5 days time !

For future issues, do you know of a RELIABLE source or Porsche distributor in England, Germany, etc.. were I could place an order, pay , and get the spare by DHL in less than 3 days ?

PLEASE , any help will be higly appreciated !

I think this is the eternal problem getting parts from Motorsport. Only online place I know is Carnewal, but he'd be sourcing it from Motorsport dept too, so not sure how it would be quicker.

Buy it in US. Cheaper and in-stock.

I've a 996 RS pulley with belts, bolts, etc, but it is not for sale. Sorry

why not get out your credit card and call Motorsports in Weissach - like all the race teams. Motorsports can and does react quickly, their customers need parts in a real hurry.

I have checked with two friends. One of them is the happy owner of a new 997 cup. I have been told that Motorsport only supplies to teams and cup owners...(?!)

Worth calling them yourself surely? Not like they will have records of the 5th owner of a cup car...

Dan H,

I will try to call them the next time ...

Zicoramone,

Good Idea. I didn't call Gert - great supplier BTW - as he didn't show this piece in his catalogue but I will next time..
