I have a customer who switched from the tech equipment bar with braces to the bar without. He would like to sell this one p/n 996.580.981.00 with all hardware, in nice shape. (I would to see it go too, it is taking up room in lobby). Please, no shipping. Orange County, CA pickup.
Call if interested 949 458-7223. ask for Eric

Funny one aside, the most common and safe location for shoulder belts, is the rear "fire wall". If I remember correctly, that's how it came from the factory. Picture below is from Monique's car. If you get your belts with quick release or "D" rings, I don't think the belt manufacturer will say anything. Even the belts angle is perfect.

I've read that the harnesses should be as short as possible due to the amount of stretch that would occur in an accident. If the belts are mounted all the way back to the firewall, those are some looooong shoulder harnesses and would have a lot of stretch in a wreck.
Anybody else have comment on this? Sorry to divert the thread a little, but I thought that the most common and safe location to mount shoulder harnesses would be to a cross-bar on a rollbar/rollcage in the main hoop, designed specifically for this purpose.

Matt, that is the one I wish I knew about before I bought mine last summer (right before I met you). Isn't it the one at Jimmy's shop?
By the way, did you get my PM about next week???
